Contact support
Email hello@tryclarity.xyz with a short description of what happened. On the web, include your browser and device; on iPhone or iPad, include your app version, device model and iOS or iPadOS version. Please do not send passwords, sign-in codes or private journal entries. Redact personal information from any screenshot you choose to send.
Writing in NOTE, NOW and NEXT
- Choose NOTE to write freely, NOW to work through a question, or NEXT to turn a focus into an action. Use the writing controls to copy text, save a kept thought or start a new session when available.
- For more room, use Enter focus mode on the web. On iPhone, open Writing options to find Enter Focus, Check spelling and session controls; iPad also provides a Format control in the editor.
- On the web, writing saves as you work. If you see Writing needs attention, keep the page open and follow the recovery or retry action. Copy important text somewhere safe before refreshing, signing out or clearing browser data.
- If Review recovered writing appears on the web, compare the versions and choose the one to continue with. Saved draft versions are stored in the same browser; open them to select and copy a version into a new session.
Find a writing prompt
- In an empty NOTE, select Show a writing prompt. Choose Another prompt or Browse themes for a different starting point, or Hide to close it. The prompt is a suggestion; it is not inserted into your writing.
- On iPhone, the prompt opens in a Writing prompt sheet; select Done to return. On iPad and the web, the prompt may appear alongside the editor or in a dialog. Start writing when you are ready.
Check spelling
- Choose Check spelling in the editor and select Australian or US English. Review suggestions and choose a replacement; your words are not changed automatically. You can ignore a word or undo a correction.
- On the web, select text first to check just that selection, or choose Check whole draft. Add to dictionary saves a word for this workspace in this browser. The iPhone and iPad spelling review checks the draft on the device and has its own controls.
Dictation and voice
- Use the microphone control to dictate when available. In NOW and NEXT on the web, Voice starts a voice conversation. Allow microphone access when your browser or device asks, and check its microphone permissions if recording does not start.
- Voice and other AI requests need an internet connection and your AI sharing choice. If a request fails, keep your writing and try again when connected; you can continue by typing.
Find writing and resolve sync issues
- Sign in to the Clarity account you used to write the session. In Library, clear search and filters; on iPhone and iPad, select All modes and All statuses. Kept shows only sessions with kept thoughts.
- On iPhone or iPad, reconnect and open Offline Sync to review pending changes and use Sync now. If asked to review versions, compare them and choose which to continue with. Saved draft versions are available on this device in Offline Sync. Avoid removing the app while writing is waiting to sync.
- On the web, recent sessions can be available offline after the device has prepared them. Reconnect and follow any sync or conflict guidance shown. Do not clear browser storage or sign out while unsynced writing needs attention; copy important text somewhere safe first.
Your AI sharing choice
Open Settings → AI sharing on the web, iPhone or iPad to review the configured recipients before allowing AI features. Turning sharing off stops new AI requests, including automatic Patterns analysis, while writing and cloud sync remain available. It does not recall information already sent.
Clarity's AI suggestions may be inaccurate. They support reflection and planning and do not replace medical, mental-health, crisis or other professional help.
Delete your account
In the iPhone or iPad app, open Settings → Delete account. Read the confirmation and type DELETE. You may need to sign in again for recent identity verification. Deletion removes your account and writing, including unsynced writing on the initiating device, and cannot be undone. Shared organisation writing owned by others is preserved. Provider billing records and backups follow their retention policies.
Account deletion does not cancel subscriptions managed by external billing providers. Check your subscription with its provider before deleting. For privacy requests, help with older app versions, or a deletion that has not completed, email support.
If you use Sign in with Apple and access has not been revoked automatically, open device Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple → Clarity, then follow the steps to stop using Sign in with Apple. Your Clarity account deletion does not depend on completing this step.
