Write freely in NOTE

Make room for the whole thought before trying to turn it into a decision.

Start a NOTE

Write before you organise

NOTE is a quiet canvas. Start with what is true, unfinished, repetitive, or difficult to say plainly. You do not need to answer prompts in order.

Start with a prompt

In an empty NOTE, select Show a writing prompt. Choose Another prompt or Browse themes for a different starting point, or Hide to close it. The prompt is a suggestion and is not inserted into your writing.

On iPhone, the prompt opens in a Writing prompt sheet; select Done to return. On iPad and the web, it may appear alongside the editor or in a dialog.

Make room to write

On the web, choose Enter focus mode for a quieter editor. On iPhone, open Writing options for Enter Focus and other session controls. On iPad, use Format in the editor when you want to format your writing.

Ask for the signal when you are ready

When the writing starts to resolve, ask Clarity to distil one faithful focus sentence. Edit it until it still sounds like you.

Carry the signal forward

Use the Focus Card to continue into NOW when you want to explore the thought more deliberately. Your original writing remains available in the session.
